About MonetAdvice

MonetAdvice is a local-first financial decision platform that provides educational calculators for debt repayment and other personal finance decisions.

What MonetAdvice does

MonetAdvice turns user-provided financial scenarios into clear payoff estimates, comparison views, charts, and month-by-month schedules. The platform is built primarily for a US audience and is operated by Pavel Shareika, an individual based in Poland.

Current tools include the Debt Payoff Planner, which compares Snowball and Avalanche strategies across multiple debts, and the Credit Card Payoff Calculator, which estimates payoff timing, interest, and the effect of additional payments for one credit card. The Credit Card Minimum Payment Calculator compares an illustrative minimum-payment schedule with the same schedule plus an extra monthly payment. The Credit Card Extra Payment Calculator compares a current fixed-payment plan with recurring extra payments, a selected one-time payment, or a target payoff month. The Savings Goal Calculator estimates a regular contribution or goal date using an optional expected APY. The Emergency Fund Calculator compares expense-based emergency savings targets and estimates a monthly funding timeline.

MonetAdvice is the brand and platform. Debt Tools is a product category within MonetAdvice. Debt Payoff Planner, Credit Card Payoff Calculator, Credit Card Minimum Payment Calculator, and Credit Card Extra Payment Calculator are individual tools within that category. The Savings Goal Calculator and Emergency Fund Calculator are savings tools. Calculator names describe specific products and are not used as the platform name.

Core calculations

Calculations run locally in your browser. The core calculation engines do not require an account, do not connect to lender accounts, and do not send balances, APRs, payments, or calculated schedules to MonetAdvice servers merely to produce calculator results.

The engines use documented formulas and deterministic rules, so the same valid inputs and assumptions produce the same outputs. Formula details, baseline definitions, validation rules, and limitations are published in the Methodology.

If you allow Functional storage, the most recent valid scenario for each calculator is stored in your browser and restored on that device. Reset calculator or rejecting Functional storage removes it. CSV and print exports are generated only when you request them and do not change the calculation.

Optional AI Insights

AI Insights are optional. When requested, a limited summary of your inputs and calculated results is processed through our server and an external AI provider. Debt names and direct personal identifiers are excluded.

AI does not replace the calculation engine and does not independently determine displayed savings. Calculation-based scenarios are produced or checked by deterministic code. Any public-source market finding must include a source and pass structured validation before it is shown. See the Privacy Policy and Editorial Policy for details.

What MonetAdvice does not do

MonetAdvice is not a lender, broker, credit repair company, law firm, tax adviser, or registered investment adviser. It does not determine eligibility, access lender accounts, submit applications, negotiate debts, or provide personalized financial, legal, credit, investment, or tax advice. Results are educational estimates based on user inputs and simplified assumptions.

How MonetAdvice is funded

The tools are currently free and the site does not currently run advertising scripts or affiliate click tracking. MonetAdvice may later earn revenue from clearly labeled advertising or affiliate links. Compensation will not change calculator formulas or be presented as a personalized recommendation. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

Editorial accountability

Content and product documentation are maintained by Pavel Shareika under published source, testing, correction, and AI-assistance standards. MonetAdvice does not currently present an independent credentialed financial reviewer. A reviewer name or credential will be published only after a real review has been completed and authorized for publication.
