Privacy Policy
Effective August 22, 2026. MonetAdvice is operated by Pavel Shareika, an individual established in Poland. Core calculations stay on your device. Analytics and optional AI Insights are described below.
Who controls personal data
Pavel Shareika, the individual operator of MonetAdvice established in Poland, determines why and how personal data is processed and is therefore the data controller. Privacy requests may be sent to support@monetadvice.com.
Core calculator information
MonetAdvice calculators, including the Debt Payoff Planner, Credit Card Payoff Calculator, Minimum Payment Calculator, Credit Card Extra Payment Calculator, Savings Goal Calculator, and Emergency Fund Calculator, process balances, savings targets, essential expense totals and breakdowns, recurring contributions, APRs or expected APYs, payments, one-time payment timing, target months, strategy choices, and calculated schedules locally in your browser. Those values are not sent to a MonetAdvice server merely to calculate or display the core result. Calculator scenarios are not stored in a MonetAdvice database.
If you allow Functional storage, each calculator can save its most recent valid inputs in your browser's local storage so they can be restored on the same device. Saved scenarios remain until you reset that calculator, disable Functional storage, clear browser data, or a software update invalidates the stored version. Rejecting or withdrawing Functional consent removes saved calculator scenarios. CSV export, sharing, downloading, or printing occurs only when you choose the relevant action. The separate optional AI Insights feature is described below.
Optional AI insights
AI Insights are optional. If you select "Get AI insights," the MonetAdvice server receives the validated debt scenario needed to create and check the requested insights. For live public-source research, the application sends Google Gemini only the country, a numerical debt index, debt type, balance, APR, and minimum payment for each included debt. Extra payment, strategy, start month, calculated results, user-entered debt names, and direct personal identifiers are not included in the Gemini research prompt. MonetAdvice does not ask for or intentionally include your name, email address, account number, Social Security number, or lender login credentials in this feature.
The requested processing is necessary to provide the optional feature, and associated security and request-limiting processing supports MonetAdvice's legitimate interests in protecting the service and preventing abuse. Google may process request content, search context, generated output, and technical metadata in the United States or other locations where it operates. Google states that Grounding with Google Search stores prompts, contextual information, and output for 30 days, and that this retention cannot be disabled. Google states that, when Gemini API use qualifies as a Paid Service under its terms, submitted prompts and generated responses are not used to improve Google products. Google's applicable Gemini API terms govern its processing. MonetAdvice does not save the submitted or returned scenario in an application database. Do not use the feature if you do not want the summarized values sent to Google.
A first-party timestamp is stored in your browser for up to 24 hours after a research request to limit repeated external requests and control service costs. It does not contain debt balances, APRs, payments, results, or other scenario values. Calculation-based insights remain available without sending a request to Google.
Technical and hosting data
Vercel hosts and delivers the site. Like other hosting providers, Vercel may process technical request information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information, and security events to provide, protect, and troubleshoot the service. MonetAdvice relies on legitimate interests in secure and reliable site delivery for this processing. Review Vercel's privacy notice for its processing practices.
Requests to the optional AI endpoint can also use a network identifier such as an IP address for short-term abuse prevention and request limiting. This identifier is not added to the AI scenario summary sent to Google by MonetAdvice application code.
Browser storage and consent
The site stores a first-party privacy-preference record in local storage for up to 180 days so it can remember your optional-category choices. Necessary storage is used to provide the preference control and a short AI-request cooldown. Functional storage is optional and is used for same-device calculator scenario restoration only after you allow it. GA4 analytics loads only after Analytics consent and receives privacy-safe interaction events without calculator inputs or financial results. Advertising technologies are not currently connected. Consent can be withdrawn through Cookie preferences in the footer. See the Cookie Policy. Withdrawing Analytics consent stops future MonetAdvice analytics events and removes recognized first-party Google Analytics cookies for this site.
Email communications
If you email MonetAdvice, the message, email address, and information you provide are used to answer the request, investigate corrections, protect legal rights, or manage a proposed business relationship. Correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes and is ordinarily deleted within 24 months unless a legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention.
Analytics, advertising, and sale or sharing
MonetAdvice uses Google Analytics 4 only after Analytics consent. Google Analytics can receive the page title, page path and URL without query parameters, a referrer without query parameters, privacy-safe product interaction event names, a tool identifier, and standard analytics information such as session activity, approximate location, browser, device, and a cookie-based client identifier. Calculator inputs, financial values, calculated results, debt names, email addresses, and other direct identifiers are not sent through MonetAdvice analytics events. Google Signals, advertising storage, advertising personalization, and advertising user-data signals are disabled in the site implementation.
MonetAdvice does not currently run advertising scripts, affiliate click tracking, or cross-site behavioral advertising and does not sell personal information. A browser Global Privacy Control signal is treated as an opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising where applicable.
International processing
MonetAdvice is operated from Poland and primarily serves a US audience. Vercel and Google may process information in the United States or other countries. Their applicable privacy notices, service terms, and data-processing terms describe the transfer mechanisms they use, including adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses where applicable. You may contact MonetAdvice for more information about safeguards relevant to a particular request.
Recipients
Personal data can be received by Vercel for hosting, delivery, logging, and security; Google for consented Google Analytics processing and an optional Gemini request; and email or infrastructure providers when needed to answer a message or operate the service. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers, courts, regulators, or authorities where reasonably necessary to comply with law or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. MonetAdvice does not provide calculator scenarios to advertisers or data brokers.
Legal bases and retention
MonetAdvice processes technical hosting and security data on the basis of legitimate interests in delivering, securing, and troubleshooting the service. Information submitted through optional AI Insights is processed to provide the feature you request and to prevent abuse. Optional Functional storage and Google Analytics processing rely on your consent. Email correspondence is processed to respond to your request and, where needed, to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Browser-stored scenarios follow the retention described above. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies and retains analytics data under the settings of the MonetAdvice GA4 property and Google's applicable terms. Privacy preferences expire after 180 days, the first-party AI cooldown timestamp expires after 24 hours, and email is ordinarily deleted within 24 months. MonetAdvice does not maintain an application database of calculator or AI scenarios. Hosting, security, and provider records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary under the provider's settings, legal obligations, and security practices. Google Search grounding retention is described in Optional AI Insights.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email support@monetadvice.com to exercise a right. EU users may also complain to their local supervisory authority; the Polish authority is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
Children
MonetAdvice is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. The calculator is intended for adults evaluating their own consumer personal finance scenarios.
Required and optional information
Calculator fields are required only if you choose to run that calculation. You may use the core tools without an account and without providing your name or email address. If required information is not provided, the relevant calculation, AI request, or support response may not be available. MonetAdvice does not use calculator or AI scenario data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when service providers, data practices, monetization, or legal requirements materially change. The effective date will identify the latest substantive review.
